Safety Equipment

All boats available for charter have to be coded. This requires the provision of a very high level of safety equipment and a rigourous annual inspection.

Guillemot will be coded to Category 2 for charter, which certifies her to operate up to 60nm from a safe haven. In practice this means that she is legally certified to go anywhere you could possibly reach on your charter.

The safety equipment includes a liferaft certified to ISO 9650 standard, flares, an automatic engine fire extinguishing system, lifejackets for all crew (inspected annually) plus spare lifejackets, plus a ‘grab bag’ with additional safety equipment. There are electric and manual bilge pumps and a DSC VHF radio.

Guillemot was built to Loyds A1 standard, the very highest standard of yacht construction.
